The delivery of Community Testing is high profile and vital to maintaining and enhancing the city council’s reputation. It is a huge part of tackling Covid and plays a vital role in reducing the risk. Community Testing is a National programme and is overseen by DHSC.
Oversee the operational management of the Covid-19 Community Testing programme.
Specifically
Directly responsible for the overall management of the Community Testing Sites
Work closely with the Site Managers of each Community Test site.
Manage all activities and outputs of the Local Testing site, ensuring the safety of all staff and service users
Escalate decisions, as appropriate, to the Testing Lead
Ensuring the Clinical SOP is understood and adhered to at all times. All changes in regulations are adapted and updated
Manage the day to day staffing across all sites including absences, HR matters and daily reporting
Identify additional resource requirements with site managers and ensure all posts are covered and planned for in advance
Lead on the Community Testing Sites and the daily operations
Understand and implement all Department of Health guidance relating to Community Testing Programme
Chair any site manager meetings to ensure smooth workings and shared collaboration
Deploy resources as necessary to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all sites
Line management of the Site Managers and Supervisors working on the Community Testing Sites
Ensure the keeping of records as necessary in line with all relevant information governance policies of WCC and appropriate records of decision-making
Ensure the provision of reports on the operational aspects of the sites response for WCC, as necessary, including regular reports to the Testing Lead and strategic boards
Lead by example in modelling and embedding the council’s values and behaviours to help build a sustainable highly effective organisation and develop our reputation as a successful council delivering great value for its residents
Manage the stock of test kits, testing equipment and PPE including managing inventory
Manage the distribution of stock to sites liaising with distributors and site managers to ensure sufficient levels across Westminster Sites
Ensure and manage daily reporting data is captured and reported
Ensure timely preparation and submission of all reports and returns as required
Read and interpret directives and documentation issued
Carry out instructions provided in a written, oral or diagram form
Problem-solve and create solutions to complex problems
Manage training and motivate the team to deliver service excellence. Provide Training to new starters
Ensure personal hygiene is maintained to a high level and correct PPE is always worn according to the Clinical SOP
