Tempest Executive are hiring for a Senior Commissioning Officer for a Local Authority. This is an exciting and key role in an Integrated Commissioning Team. You will support the Joint Strategic Commissioner to ensure the health and social care commissioning aims and objectives are achieved for people with learning disabilities and autism. You shall lead, under the direction of the Strategic Commissioner for Learning Disabilities, commissioning initiatives, programmes and projects aligned to our integrated commissioning intentions and contract manage a portfolio of commissioned services. This will ensure the delivery of high quality services in line with the recently developed Learning Disabilities’ and Autism Strategies. You will contribute to the strategic direction of services for residents with learning disabilities, by developing innovative, value for money solutions which identify and deliver strategic outcomes; providing updates of new requirements from national and local priorities. Examples include developing a suite of day opportunities in the borough for people with learning disabilities, and coordinating the local Transforming Care Programme.
