Tempest Executive are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Auditor for a local authority.
Essential Requirements Safeguarding experience ( knowledge skills and experience of working in different aspects of children’s social work from assessment through to children looked-after) Qualified Social Worker Experience of being Advanced Practitioner or equivalent level Experience of quality assurance activity / participation Preferable – experience of auditing and practice development ; experience of team management
Tasks/ Duties Oversight of previously audited children’s cases Oversight of vulnerable and risky children’s cases Working within a clear framework and programme of work Completing thematic and deep dive audits where directed Leading on dip samples and group auditing Completion of individual children’s case file audit tools and reports where directed Coaching and mentoring with practitioners and managers Joint working with agency partners and senior managers where required Engaging in practice development with practitioners and managers. The Children’s Services is on a journey of improvement, and two highly positive Ofsted monitoring visits have taken place so far. The Quality Assurance and Audit programme has been praised for its effectiveness and innovation. The Quality Assurance Manager is a highly supportive and skilled in audit and improvement and is passionate about achieving the right outcomes for children and impact on practice through audit. The auditors will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, and will work under a guided and innovative programme. The auditors will provide oversight, scrutiny and assurance as well as supporting the continuation of the improvement journey.
